DiskPulse reads the same counters as iostat and the same event stream that drives Spotlight, and turns them into a live, byte-accurate dashboard.
Read (green) and write (red) rates, IOPS and totals for every drive, shown with its Finder volume name.
The busiest processes by disk I/O, ranked by a rolling 15-second average, each with its own trend line.
Every create, write, remove, rename and metadata change across local volumes. Sort, filter and right-click.
A remake of the classic fseventer: a live left-to-right tree where changed files light up red.
Hover a file in the tree to see the process writing it, with its pid and full path.
SMB, NFS, AFP and WebDAV shares with capacity and an estimated write rate.
Settings (⌘,) control the look. The Activity Tree has its own toolbar.
Disk statistics need no permissions. To see file activity outside your home folder, give DiskPulse Full Disk Access in System Settings › Privacy & Security.
