Scour walks your folders directly, in parallel, so it finds invisible files, package contents, excluded folders and text inside files.
All or any words, phrase, begins or ends with, exact, Unix wildcards and regular expressions.
Boolean syntax compatible with EasyFind: AND, OR, NOT, XOR, NEAR/n, BEFORE/n, “phrases” and fuzzy matching.
Plain text and source, PDF, RTF, Word and OpenDocument. Or search every file.
Results stream in as they’re found, with highlighted snippets and sortable columns.
Quick Look with Space, Open With, Reveal, Get Info, Copy, Share, Trash, or drag to Finder.
Files stored only in iCloud are skipped, never downloaded.
Search options sit right under the search field.
Also in the Services menu: Search in Folder with Scour and Find Selection with Scour. Export results as CSV. Give Scour Full Disk Access to search protected folders.
