CandyBar, reimagined.

Iconic keeps a searchable library of icons in collections, and applies them to apps, folders, files and drives using standard Finder custom icons.

Import anything

ICNS, PNG, HEIC, PDF, SVG, ICO, WebP, .iconset folders, whole folders, and apps.

CandyBar libraries

Imports a CandyBar library with names, authors, keywords, collections and Dock themes intact.

Smart collections

Rules on name, keywords, author, type, size, date or CandyBar ID. Search with several words.

Apply icon sets

Map a set onto Documents, Downloads, Music and other folders in one step.

Survives updates

When an app update wipes a custom icon, Reapply Lost Icons puts it back.

Export

ICNS, 1024-pixel PNG or .iconset. Or make a copy on the macOS rounded-icon grid.

Changing other apps’ icons needs App Management permission in System Settings › Privacy & Security. Finder, Dock and system icons can’t be replaced on modern macOS because the system volume is sealed.
